Information Airlines into the
Mount Shasta Area
|
Unless you are flying into one of the
small Mount Shasta area airports (reserved for privately owned aircraft)
flying into the Mount Shasta area can be an adventure in itself. After
landing you will be driving between sixty to ninety miles
before you arrive in the Mount Shasta area. San Francisco Airports
can be a great, if you plan on a one or two day stop over, but beware
starting your drive during rush hour traffic. Reno can also be a great
one night stop over, but because of snow in winter, the road to
the Shasta area is often closed. Medford and Redding are the
closer choices but flights are limited and sometimes can be
costly. Sacramento is a good all around choice and only about three
hours from Mount Shasta, nevertheless because airlines and car rental
agencies run specials at different times there can be cost, comfort, or
time savings advantages in arriving at different airports at different
times of the year.
Shasta Reservations
has the experience to help you purchase the most appropriate airline
arraignments available. |
