Six Northern California ecosystems from all
over Northern California converge in an unusual tapestry that makes up Castle
Crags State Park. The park
offers a diversity of life that you can find nowhere else in the world, Most
people would never look for orchids in California yet there are 12 species of
orchids and a lot of plants that are unique to the crags only. Climbing the
Crags is perhaps the most popular activity at the park but because the
ecosystems are so unusual, it is very important to tread lightly.
